Ms. Geeji Madathil Tharanath

geeji madathil tharanathGeeji Madathil earned a Master’s Degree in Microbiology and kicked off her career as a Clinical Microbiologist entering to the Health sector in a reputed hospital of India for a few years. Later, she moved to Kerala Agricultural University as a research associate in Agriculture Microbiology during which she could involve in a few pioneering studies on soil microbiology for improving soil productivity, resisting disease occurrence and enhancing crop production. For a short span of time, she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist too, for a US company.

After almost a decade of service in Kerala Agricultural University, she joined Kerala University of Fisheries and ocean Studies (KUFOS) and associated with the University in various contract positions related to a few research projects in the field of Aquaculture, Microbiology, Environment and Nutrition. She has authored more than 20 publications including research papers, popular articles, research notes and project reports. At present, she is a Ph.D Scholar in KUFOS working under the Guide-ship of Dr.Dinesh Kaippilly, Associate Professor (Aquaculture) and a Fellow of World Aquaculture Society.

She (along with her spouse) co-founded Organic Life which is a Non Governmental Organization working to promote organic agriculture ensuring food safety.

Starting a business initiative – that delivers multi disciplinary services related to academics, health care, artificial intelligence, fisheries, training and skill development – has always been a dream for her and it’s from the very idea that SOL was born.

Geeji manages the Operations, Talent Acquisition and overall Administration aspects of SOL.
