Janine Pierce \has worked in both the public and private sectors in Australia. Her prior involvement has been in vocational education, community education programmes, job creation and in providing consultancy to the public and private sector in change management, need analysis, human resource management, communication and negotiation.
Over the last fifteen years, Janine has been involved in a number of programmes at the University of SA in course coordination, lecturing and tutoring both onshore and offshore. Her current research interests include sustainable community development both in Australia and developing countries, in particular using Photovoice methodology to provide a voice to all sectors of the community.
Recent projects include social impact assessment for ACIAR in Vietnam (2018); Rising Energy Costs: Empowering or Disempowering for Consumers?; IMAGE in my community – now and in the future: A photovoice exploration of Kilburn and Blair Athol etc.
Current project: Come and see what I see: A Photovoice study of primary carers of children and young people of school age. She is a renowned public/conference speaker with excellent communication and motivational skills with a pro poor attitude coupled with professional excellence. She is an outstanding teacher with a wide circle of ‘former student community’ spread across the globe in an array of areas holding key positions.
At SOL, she is an advisor and Senior Consultant for Vocational Training, Skill Development and Community Education programs.
